Love for food
around the world

Since we have moved to Asia, we have discovered that food is very important here and, not unimportantly, delicious! In advance, I expected to eat mainly rice and I assumed to say goodbye to my beloved sweets like cakes, ice cream, and other delicious desserts. To my surprise, nothing could be further from the truth. I now live in a country where I can enjoy this even more. My expectation that I would only eat rice turned out to be wrong. From the Indian and Chinese kitchen to the Vietnamese, Malay and Western kitchen. You can try out every day something new.

And every day seems to be better than the day before.
In the past year, my taste has developed. I started to appreciate spicy food more and I’m not afraid to try food I haven’t seen before.

My love for desserts keeps growing. And Malaysia turns out to be the perfect country to try out all the different kinds of desserts. I love a delicious piece of cake and I’m open to trying new flavors. Have you heard of durian, gula melaka, or pandan cake? No, well me neither till a year before. Find out more about these cakes on Lisa on Air. On this page, I’ll take you on my journey through the most diverse dishes and desserts around the world.
