One week chillin’ in Canggu, Bali
Last Saturday we arrived at our villa in Canggu, Bali. This is our fifth day and only the first blog, but we are so relaxed that I haven’t written anything yet. It’s still early now, so I took my laptop and I’m sitting at a large wooden table overlooking the pool. Not bad, is it?
Holiday mood
From Kuala Lumpur, it’s only a three-hour flight to Bali. The flight went well, although the landing was a bit scary. The landing strip is built half on the water, so you fly very low over the sea for a long time. It looks like you’re flying into the water. Luckily this was not the case and as soon as the plane stopped we were in the holiday mood.

Bathroom
The bathroom consists of a large bath surrounded by a pond with fish. Since I’m a bit afraid of the underwater world I don’t like this haha. There is also an open shower, toilet, and two sinks. So while under the shower, I am more busy with keeping an eye on all the animals. A lot of mice, lizards and flying monsters have passed by. For the animal and nature lover, I can imagine, the perfect bathroom.
Food
A beautiful villa where we can easily spend a week. Meanwhile, I can also say that the food here is great! Every day is even better than the previous day so you almost wonder when it would stop. From Japanese to Italian and Balinese food in between. A wonderful week to relax and enjoy the food, the shops, the villa and of course the sun!

Canggu
Bali has many nice different towns with shops and restaurants. We stay in Canggu, in the south of Bali at about 40 minutes’ drive from Denpasar Airport. The arrival hall at the airport was full of people with a sign in their hand. So we were looking through the crowd for Loosschilder and yes there it was! Via Klook we booked a taxi that took us to the villa for €10. In the car, we asked the driver how long it would take us to get to the villa and unfortunately, he said that it could take up to 1.5 hours. “Big jam, big jam”‘. Of course, we could have expected that on a Saturday. When we asked after an hour how long we still had to go, he indicated that it could take another hour. Five minutes later we were in front of the villa. Small language barrier but we were more than happy that we had arrived.
Airbnb
We booked our villa through Airbnb. Tempat Damai Villa got a lot of good reviews and looked beautiful in the pictures. Also in real life, it didn’t disappoint! The open large living room offers a direct view of the lovely blue pool. The villa has three bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. In two bedrooms the bathroom is outside. This looks beautiful, but after a few days, I have to say that I am not made for outside bathrooms.
